Tough Talk #2: Privilege in Planning

For Planners Network’s second Tough Talk, we decided to confront an ongoing conversation going on in the planning field, privilege. As students, professors, and practicing planners, we have a tremendous amount of privilege. Discovering ways to address the ways that we are privileged or not privileged, can help planners better understand their roles and power in the communities they practice in. This workshop style event, helped members not only explore their privilege, but also asked them, given a blank slate, what would a just city look like?
